I don't know if there are any tell-tale signs other than, well, s/he avoiding you :-). No, seriously, I think you just get a feeling, don't you?

i guess if they dont talk to you, then theyre avoiding you?

not calling, not returning calls,avoiding meeting you not making arrangements like you normally would for lunch/dinner or a drink ect... if that happens then your definately not on their xmas card list...
